Our editorial policy

Our journal helps readers understand the language of astrology and explore it thoughtfully. These standards explain who is responsible for our content, how it is made and how to raise a concern.

Authorship and responsibility

A “By Zodiaris” byline attributes a guide to the journal. Its method note explains how the material was created and reviewed. We name individual contributors and describe their qualifications only when that information is verified. A claim of human or specialist review must match the publication record. About Zodiaris identifies the publisher.

Facts and interpretation

Planetary positions, lunar phases and calculated event times are astronomical information. The meanings traditionally associated with them are astrological interpretations. We keep that distinction explicit and do not present a symbolic reading as proof of cause and effect.

Calculated sky context

Our sky tools use Astronomy Engine. Positions use a geocentric tropical zodiac: twelve equal signs measured from the March equinox. They are not constellation boundaries or a view above your local horizon. Event times are calculated estimates; a global eclipse does not imply local visibility.

Personal birth charts

Our free birth chart calculator adds a geometric local horizon and Whole Sign houses to the planetary positions. It uses the birthplace and historical time-zone rules to determine the birth moment. Its independent numerical checks, aspect orbs and sources are described in the calculation method. Unknown birth time produces day ranges and excludes the Ascendant, angles and houses. This calculator provides calculated facts and reference explanations; it does not generate an individual personality report.

Sources and factual checks

For checkable astronomical claims, we use calculated data and link to relevant references, including original documentation and astronomical institutions where available. A source should support the claim beside it. We distinguish a scientific observation from an astrological tradition and explain uncertainty instead of filling gaps with invented facts.

We write guides to answer a reader’s question with a clear explanation and useful examples. Search demand can help us choose topics, but repeating the same material under different titles or changing dates without a meaningful revision does not make a guide more useful.

Two reading methods

Our original editions combine a calculated snapshot with a finite library of reflective text. Daily, weekly and monthly editions use their own readings. These editions identify the snapshot method in their accompanying note.

Newsroom editions use the relevant period’s calculated events, an editorial brief and a recorded publication review. Their method note identifies that process. We only describe a human review when the publication record supports it.

AI assistance and review

AI may help with research organization, drafts and illustrations. Generated content still needs factual checks, clear sourcing and review for repetition and unsupported promises. A changed newsroom text or illustration must pass the applicable checks again before publication.

AI output is not a source for an astronomical fact and is not evidence of human review. Our zodiac characters and illustrative scenes are creative artwork, not photographs of real people or exact views of the sky.

Publication dates

Daily editions follow New York time. Weeks run Monday through Sunday; monthly readings follow calendar months. A dated link keeps the chosen reading within the seven-day reading window. A yearly reading appears only after its publication date. Article publication and update dates describe actual releases and revisions.

Corrections and reader feedback

Report a possible error to info@zodiaris.com. Include the page link, the detail you believe is incorrect and any supporting source. For an edition, include its sign, period and date so we can identify the material.

We assess a report against the published wording, relevant sources and calculation method. When a material factual error is confirmed, our policy is to correct or withdraw the affected material and explain a substantial correction on the page. Small spelling or formatting fixes may be made without a separate note. A difference in symbolic interpretation is not necessarily a factual error.

Corrections to newsroom material are published as new revisions, preserving the earlier publication record. We do not change dates solely to make content appear new.

Advertising, affiliate links and independence

Our editorial standard is to choose topics and conclusions for their value to readers. If a publication is sponsored, or a link can earn us a commission, we label that relationship clearly on the relevant page near the content or link. Ordinary source citations are not a claim of partnership or endorsement. A commercial relationship must not be presented as independent editorial review.

What these readings do not calculate

Our general horoscopes are organized by Sun sign. They do not calculate your personal Ascendant or houses from a birthday alone. Without a reliable birth time and place, those parts of a birth chart remain uncertain. Astrology does not replace professional medical, legal or financial advice.
